1986 Monte Carlo SS
I was going through some of my old pictures looking for my original project car a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. So to keep this short and get back to one of my many other projects, I will start with the Chevy , below is the colorful history of the SS. I will add more photos and a bit of history about each car as time goes on. After all money will be the deciding factor in how long the build will take. Enjoy!

1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
This is what she looked like when I brought her home in 1988.

1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
This is the same car after it stolen and striped the day before Christmas 1988
This photo was taken early spring of 1989.

1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
I rolled her out of the garage to take this photo It has been almost 20 years since she was stolen and striped and I am still in the process of putting her back the way she was. I admit that she was driven after being stolen for about 6 years, the rest of the time she has been sitting under cover or in one garage after another. 10-06

305 Engine
This is the next project, a new 355 to finally cure the overheating problem she has had since I got her.

1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Interior
Here is what is left of the interior note the ragged seat covers, the seats are from a 85 SS and the rear seat not shown is from a 84. The thieves were amatures or afraid they were going to get caught I don't know. They took the wheels and tires and seats, stero and cleaned out the trunk that was full of gifts. They also beat the heck out of the body.
5-7-07 SS Update. Some of you guys may or may not have been checking back to see how the SS is coming along, I have the new 355 in her along with a new turbo 400. The front end has been rebuilt and it has new brakes
all the way around. Now for the sad news the Great State of Texas, which I call home, has a few emission laws and sadly
the SS will not confrom to the rules of the road so she is taking a break for now. I would post photo's of all the new
parts but they look like the old parts except new paint. LOL.
