Electric starting and demountable wheel rims -both options- help modernize the Model T. The Ford town car is dropped for the 1919 model year. The 3-millionth Model T is produced on April 2nd, Ford Factory wage is raised to $6 dollars a day. The Construction of the Rouge Plant begins in earnest. Henry Ford loses the lawsuit brought by Dodge Brothers over dividend payments, Before the end of the year he buys out all shareholders. Henry wins in libel suit against Chicago Tribune, He gets six cents in damages. A second son is born to Edsel and Eleanor Ford, Benson Ford is born on July 20th. Still in 1919 if you wanted a pick-up you had to buy a roadster and have it converted to a pick-up as an aftermarket option.
