Motor Car Company
1958
58th series
This would be the last year for the Packard, the name would survive as a corporate identity only until 1962. All Packard's are built in South Bend, Ind at the Studebaker Plant. They use Studebaker bodies and as well as there engines. Like the Studebaker signs of troubling times are evident, the dual headlamps are tacked on, clearly a last minute thought to keep up the big three and the new law allowing dual headlights on cars. In the 1958 model year Packard is expanded to four models, a sedan, a stationwagon, a hardtop and the Hawk.
